Things I wanna see in Venom 3

It's about a month away and in writhing in excitement. These are gonna sound very fanficy, but also, please look at the movie I am talking about. The sad sweaty loser and the agender alien parasite are canonically in love. Let me have this.

-I want them to be more affectionate in the movie. The first one was them meeting and them getting used to each other, the second one was them going through a breakup and making up, and now I just want them to just be closer and more affectionate and comfortable with each other

-Stop being cowards, Sony. Use the pet names from the comics. Have them call each other darling. Maybe even my love. Who knows

-I'm not deaf, Sony. I know you took out the "You take me to all the finest places!" In the trailer for theaters. That better be in the movie, you cowards

-Unless the movie IS more romantic and they're trying to hide it in the trailers so film bros don't get mad???

-We got Venom saying he loves Eddie. I NEED EDDIE TO SAY HE LOVES VENOM AND I NEED VENOM TO FREEZE LIKE HE DID IN THE MOTORCYCLE CHASE OR GET REALLY EXCITED LIKE WHEN EDDIE CALLED THEM LETHAL PROTECTOR. In the first movie, Eddie says something like, "I'm gonna go to my room and play hard to get." Imagine that being foreshadowing, so for most of the movie, Eddie is denying loving Venom, and at the end during the final battle (The Last Dance *COUGH COUGH*), Eddie's last words to Venom are "I love us."

Backstory:

Their childhood was quiet. They didn't have many friends and mostly stuck to their mother's side. She was autistic as well and seemed to be the only one who understood Pavlov. Their mother educated them for most of their life, until she was taken away. Pavlov was only 12. She was taken away by people that Pavlov cannot remember, but they know that they will hunt for their heads. On that same day, a Senobium mage came to Pavlov, calling herself Lunaviere (luna-vee-air), or simply just Lady Luna. She said she would take the place of their mother. Pavlov reacted badly at first, but eventually masked it all and gave cold indifference to Lady Luna.

It wasn't until years later, at 17, that Pavlov had gotten over their indifference to Lady Luna, mostly because she taught him well. Pav found their love for a lot of things through Lady Luna, and she taught them how to use magic and study the stars. Pav found comfort in stargazing with her.

When Pavlov was 19, they discovered a letter on Lady Luna's desk. It was a letter from the Senobium.

...You need to submit your research on the subject, Lunaviere. The curse that child holds is no joke. Find a way to extract that curse and send us the results...

Lady Luna was using Pavlov for research. They huffed out a pained laugh and put the letter and put it back where they found it. From then on, Lady Luna became more pressing and pushy. Pavlov is sure she knew that they had read the letter.

It was when she had strapped them down while they were sleeping that they had realized they should've acted sooner. They should've run when they had the chance.

Luna had poked and prodded at his eyes, stabbing them, probing them from the inside, only to find that their eyes regrew and so did their vision. Pavlov's screams died on deaf ears as no one would come to save them from the torture that woman did to them.

Using magic and common sense was how they escaped, they stole whatever money they could from Luna and ran. Not only would they come back to kill that woman, but they would also find whoever took their mother and set them up for torture. And they'll do it by any means necessary.

Class 1-A Headcanons! (part three)

I’m mainly going to be focusing on appearances and sexuality, as that is depicted in the images I edited.

Continuing with characters I headcanon as masc identifying (trans & cis guys). If any of your faves are not present please check part one & part two!

Included in this part: Tenya Iida, Mashirao Ojirou, Eijirou Kirishima, Rikidou Satou, Katsuki Bakugou, & Izuku Midoriya

Tenya Iida (he/him)

Tenya Iida is a bicurious asexual. He previously had a crush on Ochako Uraraka, but thinks he may be interested in Sero Hanta.

He often gets muscle cramps in his legs and has had panic attacks before, but is working to mitigate both.

He enjoys orange juice, action movies, and history. He reads text books for fun, but can also be found in the common room spending time with his peers or running around UA.

Mashirao Ojirou (he/him)

Ojirou is transmasculine and heterosexual. He is dating Tooru Hagakure.

He is very bottom heavy due to his quirk, but other than that is relatively unhindered in his everyday life.

He enjoys martial arts, gardening, and rom-coms. He can be found in UA's gym training with any number of his classmates or on his monthly date with his girlfriend.

Eijirou Kirishima (he/him)

Kirishima is transmasculine and gay. He is dating Katsuki Bakugou. He is also considering using neopronouns, but not quite certain yet.

He suffered greatly with depression in middle school, but has gotten better with therapy. He is slightly dyslexic and has ADHD. Later in life he will develop joint problems due to his quirk, but he's doing pretty well as of right now.

He enjoys swimming, weight training, and punk music & fashion. His like of swimming comes from his mom's DNA, which means he's often in the pool with Tsuyu Asui. However, he is often in the gym with his peers, sparring or otherwise working out. He, Tokoyami Fumikage, & Kyouka Jirou are a part of fake club they call the emo/goth/punk alliance, which meets monthly.

Rikidou Satou (he/him)

Rikidou is the only cisgender heterosexual in class 1A. He is not currently interested in dating anyone in his class, but there's a really cute girl at a cafe he frequents that he's recently taken note of.

He has high blood sugar due to his quirk's need for sugar and as a result gets frequent headaches and is very tired. He also has acne.

He enjoys fitness, meal planning, baking, and stand-up comedy. He's often in the kitchen, cooking or baking for himself or the class. He usually will watch a comedy routine on a streaming service while his food bakes.

Katsuki Bakugou (he/rose/blast)

Katsuki is agender and achillean. He is dating Eijirou Kirishima.

Rose is hard of hearing and slowly going deaf from his explosions. He also gets acne & rashes due to his quirk, as having nitroglycerin on his skin all day isn't the best for it.

Blast enjoys cooking, sparring, playing the drums, and punk music. He is often in the kitchen around dinner time, but otherwise is in his or Eijirou Kirishima's bedroom working or reading. Rose also plays rose's drums at least twice a week.

Izuku Midoriya (he/they/rose/petal/blast)

Izuku is omnisexual, polyamorous and identifies with the term rosboy (which is roughly, a feminine guy). He is dating Shouto Todoroki and Ochako Uraraka. Additionally, they are metamours with Tsuyu Asui and Momo Yaoyorozu.

Rose has early onset arthritis, especially in rose's fingers due to rose's quirk.

Petal enjoys gardening, working out, note taking, and volunteer work. Blast is often out of the dorms at the local animal shelter or elementary schools, assisting with whatever blast can. However, he usually in the gym or his bedroom when he is home, training, taking notes or watching old hero flics.

Charlotte ‘Charlie’ Webber / Sun Spider-Marvel

Qualifications:

Charlie is canonically disabled and canonically queer, having EDS and being pansexual. She was originally a spider-sona created by a fan, Dawn Broder, who is agender and disabled.Unlike most disabled characters in superhero media, Charlie stays disabled even after gaining her powers! She uses crutches and a wheelchair, both of which are used alongside her webslinging. Her crutches have webslingers inside them, meaning she uses them to get around even while being sun-spider, and Across The Spider-verse shows her wheelchair being able to help her climb on walls and similar as well. Charlie's story also covers issues faced by disabled people! When an emergency happens at her prom, she's reminded that if she wasn't a spider-person she would be left behind as the others evacuate, which is something that's common irl as well.

Charlotte Webber (Sun-Spider) has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and is an ambulatory wheelchair and crutch user. As shown in the comics she is also queer! She was created by Dayn Broder, a queer disabled comics editor and writer who also has EDS. Sun-Spider’s screentime in Across The Spiderverse was awesome especially the design of her wheelchair. She has web-shooters equipped in her crutches which she uses to fight with. She’s just so fucking cool and hopefully gets more inclusion in comics in the future.

Propaganda:

Charlie is SO important to me as a disabled person because she shows that we can be superheroes while still being disabled, we don't have to have our disabilities taken away to be super. She's also a very fun character! She's funny!

Mostly what I said in the last section, but once again she’s so cool and her wheelchair in ATSV is so sick (when she is not using it it follows her with sort of mecha spider legs).

Heart-Moonlight Chicken

Qualifications:

He's deaf (and I think one of the first ever deaf love interests in a Thai drama) and canonically gay with a boyfriend.

Heart is canonically deaf and canonically has a boyfriend at the end of the series! :)

Canonically queer and deaf

He’s canonically deaf and the love interest of another male character (Li Ming)

Propaganda:

A lot of his storyline is about the struggles of being deaf in Thai society. The show is only 8 episodes and he’s only a supporting character so it can't go super in depth to it but his arc was really well done imo. He lost his hearing due to illness like 3 years before canon (I forget th exact time frame), but his parents shut him away and never learned sign language so his storyline is about being able to come into his own and leave the house and everything. Like his love interest learns sign language for him and researches what to do to help him feel normal and supports him as his parents are forced to confront how they've failed their son with their lack of acceptance of being deaf. Like his whole story is just him finally getting to live his life normally again after being shut off from the world and having a supportive boyfriend. At the end of the show, he goes to a deaf college in America to study engineering.

he became deaf after a disease and since then is isolated in his home for 3 years. these years also coincide with the pandemic. and his parents didnt learn sign, just writing their messages in a paper and sliding it to him without hearing what he has to say. he was also presumably degraded for talking because it wasnt very clear because hes literally deaf. his parents by the end of the show try to talk better to him through sign but good god. he was so lonely

Heart is an amazing character. His story show us the hardships he faces with his family acceptance but also the importance of forming a community. His love story with ming is beautiful and heartwarming.

Heart is sheltered by his parents after losing his hearing due to illness. Throughout the series, however, his parents gain more understanding of him and his abilities and he gains a found family with his boyfriend Li Ming and Li Ming's family and it's all so heartwarming and wholesome. Although his parents see him as unable to live a normal life after he loses his hearing, he disproves this by seeking work, building relationships, and getting into college for engineering. He is the best boy!

When we first meet Heart, he is very sheltered from the outside world by his parents, who have taken pretty much no effort to understand Heart’s needs or wants since he lost his hearing. He is homeschooled and doesn’t seem to have any friends or sense of community. His parents leave him alone all the time, choosing instead to focus on their work. His bedroom is full of notes that his parents have left him. Hung up on the walls are different sign language posters, clueing the audience into the fact that he taught himself sign language. Over the course of the show, Heart develops a friendship and, eventually, relationship with Li Ming, a boy who works at a chicken rice shop. Li Ming sneaks Heart out of the house, where they do all kinds of things together – participating in a lantern festival, attending a community gathering for deaf folks, and learning how to drive a motor scooter, off the top of my head. While learning how to ride the motor scooter, however, Heart has a small accident and his parents find out about him sneaking out. The confrontation scene is one that is definitely best translated on-screen, but I’ll try to describe it the best I can. Basically, Heart, Li Ming, and Heart’s parents all hash it out. Heart’s parents accuse Li Ming of influencing Heart to disobey them, Li Ming explains that Heart wanted – and is capable of – doing the things they did together, Heart’s parents barely even look at him during the entire exchange, Heart finally gets fed up and tells his parents exactly how they make him feel, and Heart’s parents have to ask Li Ming what Heart was saying. After this confrontation, things get a bit better with Heart’s parents, though not perfect. At the end of the show, Heart and Li Ming travel overseas together, where Heart attends university and Li Ming works, a dream they talk about quite a few times over the course of the show.

He’s the first deaf love interest in a Thai drama! And he has the most adorable love story with another guy called Li Ming in the show who learns sign language in order to communicate with him more effectively. While he faces struggle from his parents being extremely overprotective after he lost his hearing a few years ago (also since he’s still a teenager) it ends up resolved with them changing their mindset and allowing him full freedom. His story shows struggle while not being a tragedy, and he ends the show going to study in America with his boyfriend being really happy <3

Anything Else?:

I feel like it isn't very often we see deaf queer characters, especially not ones who find love and a happy ending!

Call me Xero, not my irl name but its cool for online use. I'm a minor. I like metal, especially black metal and especially DSBM. Thought I'd finally make an intro post because I can't sleep and I'm bored so here we go

My name is Melody, I'm an agender lesbian but I honestly don't give a shit about how you want to refer to me

I'm deaf and autistic so please bare with me when I have my slow moments :')

I had a somewhat awkward but also quite wholesome conversation about sexuality with my grandmother last night.

(Slightest content warning for some archaic views on sex on a first date?)

For context, since leaving an abusive relationship nearly 5 months ago, I've been living with my 86-year-old grandfather ("Opa") and 87-year-old grandmother ("Oma"). I'm a woman, and my ex is female as well. I identified as a lesbian when I got sucked into that relationship 12 years ago. I no longer identify as such.

(I mainly use "queer", but since this post will get into specifics: I feel most comfortable calling myself 'demi' now, with an aesthetic preference for femme-presenting people.)

Last night, Opa had already gone to bed. I was setting the table for breakfast for the next morning while Oma was doing a jigsaw puzzle. Now, Oma is pretty much the Dutch version of a WASP. She attends church religiously, even wanted to study theology as a teen (she wasn't allowed to due to her gender, and became an educational needs teacher). However, two out of two of her grandchildren are queer, and she's fully accepting of that.

I was telling a story of how I had once been accused of dressing to seduce men when I was in my early twenties, and joked: "They really had the wrong woman in mind for that," since, as far as Oma knows, I'm a lesbian.

She replied: "Hm, back then, but how about now?"

I paused. I hadn't planned on ever telling her I was demi. Not because she couldn't know, but because she doesn't exactly understand the intricacies of all the different queer identities. She's intelligent, and eager to learn, but she's also 87. (She still accidentally makes the occasional tone-deaf comment about my trans brother-in-law. Not with malicious intent, but just because she didn't grow up with these terms.)

I also didn't want to lie to her.

So I answered: "Well...I think I'm attracted to men and women these days...but I don't experience attraction unless I have a strong friendship with someone first."

Oma: "Well, that's just healthy. So many people these days just jump into bed with anyone."

Me: "That's not exactly what I--"

Oma: "But I already thought you'd expanded to more than just women. That's good. More options."

Me: "It's not just the case of not wanting to sleep with someone immediately -- which, truthfully, I couldn't ever do -- but I just don't feel that...lust."

Oma: "So you're careful. That's good. When I was a teenager you couldn't do anything before marriage. And there was no birth control so we didn't -- you were too terrified you'd fall pregnant -- but I'm not sure that was good. If you weren't compatible physically you didn't find out until you were already married. But waiting a little while is good. Take your time. If someone doesn't want to go at your pace, they're not worthy of you."

Me: "I-- that's really lovely advice, thank you."

Oma: "Of course. I love you. And...I'm always right." *laughs* (Her joking catchphrase.)

I think in the end she thinks I'm just a bi girl with pious morals when it comes to sex, but I think that's the closest we're going to get to her actually understanding it completely. And it's close enough for me.

Heck, my brother (he/him) is agender, and when asked about that, these days she answers "he's a human".

Close enough.

At 87, nearly 88, deo volente, I think that's more than all I could ask for from her.
